Just a quickie: Market Kitchen - 26-27 April

posted Thursday, 26 April 2007

File under: Shameless self promotion

Watch out for me tonight and tomorrow on Market Kitchen (8pm, UKTV Food) - I'll be the bloke with the beard.  Tomorrow nights (repeated Saturday I think) will be potentially the most entertaining as I come to grips with a squid...

But, but! I don't have UKTV Food! I feel cheated! Can you put it on You tube??

I've been wondering about that... but I don't really know how. (I'm pretending here that I don't work in online marketing!) I'll chat with my brother see if he can do it - he's a technical whiz

If I do, I'll be sure to spread the embarrassment!

Does anyone like the way they come over on TV? It's disconcerting to shout at the telly that you don't look/sound like that and have your wife say you do... On tonight's show, I speak less but do more. And that's my 15 minutes of "fame" over and done with - unless anyone wants to offer me a job presenting cooking shows? ;)

No one I know has that channel, which means I couldn't watch myself being a twit on Tv :'(.

Saw your segment on Market Kitchen...fine job with the squid. It appeared that you impressed them! (And...thanks for visiting my site.)

Ros - you came over well - not a twit at all! It's a strange old show though - I think it could have been more interesting if you, Richard Harnden and the two presenters all had a chat rather than two separate conversations... And there was a lot more they could have covered about food blogging - maybe we should suggest that the food bloggers take over the show for a day ;)

Cowgirl - thanks for watching and coming by! We actually cooked the squid too - but they didn't show that bit in the end - I didn't win that round, I'm ashamed to say! It was good fun to make - but I do look like a gormless idiot on TV - oh well!
